Biography

Elenor Hellis (B. 1993 UK) is a visual artist living and working in London. Elenor is a recent Fine Art Graduate from Central Saint Martins and currently has studio in Stratford with ACME studios. Hellis is member of London based collective CLUSTER BOMB [collective], and has assisted and collaborated in some of the Performances that have taken place throughout 2014. Hellis mostly works within the media of Performance and Film, however she relies on a more sculptural practice to create environments for film installations, in which she has experimented with Oculus Rift technology. Her work is playful and somewhat biographical and at times she makes works about her experience living in London. One of her ongoing projects titled JUST A PRETTY LANDFILL' is an investigation into the land-use in London within a post-Olympic context. In which she discusses themes of Olympic Legacy.

 

Hellis has had her work featured in numerous publications and media platforms, such as the Guardian Newspaper, Dazed and Confused and the Central Saint Martins Online Magazine '1 Granary'. Hellis had a recent exhibition at the Wellcome Collection last year which featured her 'Foreign Bodies' film installation.

 

Elenor has been part of the HSA team for over five years and teaches the Children's Pottery class on Sunday and teaches term holiday and summer Painting and Pottery workshops for Children.
