Alan Gouk Workshop at HSoA and Exciting Exhibiting Opportunity.

Alan Gouk's 'little' Masterpiece

From Principal, Isabel H Langtry:

'Paint along with Alan Gouk' was a sell out event at Hampstead School of Art. Artists were able to use his specialist paper and observe Gouk as he made a new painting using his techniques developed over many years. Students were guided by Gouk to use the techniques on their own work.

You are invited to take part in the exhibition, 'Alan Gouk Inspires’ (11 - 23 January 2016). Alan Gouk has been a major inspiration in abstract painting for over 50 years. His work is included in the Tate Britain collection. This exhibition will explore the way artists have reacted to his work. Gouk will select a range of approaches made in response to his work.

This is your chance to exhibit alongside a widely admired, pre-eminent abstract painter who has consistently produced work of exceptional quality that explores the architecture of painting through colour and form. His ‘new small paintings’ exhibition at Hampstead School of Art in 2014 attracted widespread acclaim.

Please submit your work for selection by 8 January. The submission fee of £50 will be help the new art school building fund.
