A two-day Portraiture Course. Working from the posed model, with a talk & discussion on what makes a portrait come to life. Be inspired by examples from the history of art; From the ancient Fayum Portraits to Renaissance and 17th Century Masters such as Velázquez and Rembrandt. We will be analysing the compositions and techniques whilst looking to bring out the character and a sense of life in your painting of the sitter.
