A course for intermediate students with existing experience and knowledge. Keum-Boo translated into English as “Attached Gold”, is an ancient Korean gilding technique, used to apply thin sheets of gold and silver, to make silver-gilt. We will be learning and exploring this ancient method to produce a series of jewellery items in silver and 24ct gold, experimenting with textures and colours, pushing design ideas within the parameters of the technique. There will be an additional material cost on this course.
