Date: Mon 13 May - Mon 13 May, 2019
Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
After the Tate’s recent big blockbuster exhibition, ‘Pierre Bonnard: the colour of
memory’, Estelle Lovatt gives an illustrated lecture with highlights from the show, to see how it’s about ‘picture-making’. And that, ‘if you can dust you can draw!’ She teaches this in her Life Drawing classes at HSoA, and shows, through Bonnard’s paintings, how it’s ‘memory and imagination’ that are most necessary in the practice of making artwork.
This presentation will be of interest to Bonnard lovers and practicing artists looking for inspiration to further their skills.
Art Critic Estelle Lovatt FRSA has the experience of being on both sides of the canvas, having trained as a painter, read art history and curated gallery exhibitions.
