Looking at highlights from the Royal Academy’s blockbuster exhibition before your personal visit to see, 'Gauguin and the Impressionists: Masterpieces from The Ordrupgaard Collection’ (on until 14 June). See some of the most important Impressionist paintings in northern Europe, including masterpieces by Manet, Monet, Renoir, Pissarro Morisot and Degas, and pre-Impressionist artists Corot and Courbet, with Barbizon School’s Dupre and Daubigny, and artworks by Post-Impressionist Gauguin that highlight his career from Impressionism to colourful symbolist. Many of these paintings have never been seen in the UK before.
