Derek Ogbourne's exhibition at HSoA features on Hot List in Fabric magazine

9 -21 November 2015

Derek Ogbourne, The day I decided to wake up - oil on unprimed linen, 122cm x 92cm

“Current artist in residence and, in fact, Hampstead School of Art teacher Ogbourne holds an impressive track record when it comes to group and solo exhibitions. Dating back to 1983, his earlier paintings – richly colourful, wild and organic – have been shown in London, Cologne, Vienna and Belgrade, proving him to be both international and acclaimed. Ogbourne's latest works, painted on unprimed linen, represent a new direction, playing with notions of perception and artifice, bringing bleak landscapes and unsettling details to the fore. Fascinating but fleeting, you can catch Ogbourne's eerily beautiful works for just two weeks this November.”    Fabric magazine, November 2015
