Surrealist Paintbrush Parade, an outrageous descent in the direction of Belsize Park

HSoA students, staff and friends turned heads as they made their way through Hampstead

On a beautiful sunny September day, members of staff, students and friends descended on Hampstead dressed as Surrealist Paintbrushes! They paraded down Heath Street and Hampstead High Street as part of the HSoA’s ongoing proactive local awareness and outreach programme. The event promises to be the first of many late summer Surrealist Paintbrush Day Parades  and events to come.
All costumes were made by those taking part, in the true spirit of the HSoA as an exciting place to work and create art. Local attention and awareness was raised about our wonderful and unique art school in Kidderpore Avenue and the news  about our exciting new building.
The Parade, held on 27 September, started from Jack Straws Castle Car Park then made its outrageous descent into Hampstead.
