Valerie paints Malcolm

A wonderful sketch in a short space of time

The school was delighted to offer everyone interested in attending the opportunity of watching painter Valerie Wiffen - whose portrait of Sigmund Sternberg is on display at The National Portrait Gallery room 38, alongside Marc Quinn's 'Blood Head' and other notable contemporary portraits.

During the evening Valerie spoke about her methods and experiences of painting portraits, giving invaluable advice and demonstrating an extraordinary focus that produced a wonderful sketch of the painter Malcolm Willett in a short space of time.
