In partnership with Mount Anvil Hampstead School of Art is delighted to have appointed the first Temple Studio Artist in Residence on the beautiful new Hampstead Manor development. HSoA will appoint a new artist each year to develop work in the Temple Studio and complete a programme of engagement with local schools, residents and visitors. The artist will use the new sculpture garden as inspiration as an aspect of the developing work where sculptures by Francisco Gazitua, IH Langtry and Miguel Merino will shortly be on display.
This year’s Artist in Residence is Martin Darbyshire
Martin Darbyshire completed his Master of Letters in Fine Art Practice at The Glasgow School of Art in 2016 and BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Leeds College of Art 2015. Notable achievements include RWA Sculpture Prize (2019) Kenneth Armitage Sculpture Award (2015) Woon Painting and Sculpture Discretionary Prize (2015). He is the Foundation Course Leader at Hampstead School of Art.
