We understand that art can be an important lifeline for many in our community so we have created a range of classes in order that everyone can stay connected with their art practice and also our inspirational tutors.
This week students have been pleasantly surprised at their new virtual experience; how easy it was to become part of a class, the engaging with their tutor, and enjoying a new way of working. Hillary Jacobs called her painting class ‘inspiring’ and Beverly Gross reflected that the tutoring made the experience ‘excellent’.
To make everyone feel at home the courses are taught from the bright and cheerful HSoA studios. In practical classes, the tutors will create a seamless blended learning experience, with demonstrations to guide both classroom and online students through a range of techniques and approaches. All students will have the opportunity to receive feedback from the tutor and share ideas on each other's work.
In our Art Appreciation class, each week classroom and online students will engage in a lively debate around subjects presented by the tutor. The presentation will be streamed on cameras, whilst at the same time, online students will have the additional opportunity to view the presentation on their computer and write comments in chatboxes.
Materials can be ordered from the school and delivered to your home and remote learning is easily accessed using Zoom with clear instructions provided. Each week you will be sent the password secure link.
