Dolph van Eden studied Social Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam and Fine Art at UAL Chelsea College of Arts. He has worked in the fields of theatre design, story board design for television commercials and art education.
As a visual anthropologist, Dolph explores themes of geographical borders and cultural identity. This ongoing research is presented as a series short films and drawings that highlight the dynamics of community interaction across natural and constructed borders.
Currently a practicing illustrator, he works on a freelance basis for such organisations as the British Film Institute and Museums Association. Dolph has exhibited fine art drawings in the UK and US.
Dolph teaches ‘Essential Skills in Painting and Drawing (all levels)’ at HSoA, on Monday afternoon and Art Surgery on Thursday afternoon.
